Arts Night 2008

For the last three decades the Arts Night auction and dinner has been a major showcase for regional artists, as well as an evening of entertainment. The event, scheduled for Friday, May 2, 2008, is a major fundraiser for the Washington Pavilion's Visual Arts Center.

The event features donated works of art from local, regional and national artists. The donated art is then auctioned at the Arts Night dinner and auction, with artists receiving awards such as People's Choice, Artist's Choice and Curator's Choice.

  • Arts Night Preview Exhibition March 21 through April 30, 2008. An exhibition showcasing the donated works of art for the general public to enjoy. Viewers can select a "People's Choice" award, and enter proxy bids for any works they're interested in purchasing.

  • Meet the Artists Reception and Art Sale, Friday, April 18, 5:30 to 7 p.m. A free public reception for the artists. Meet the artists and ask them questions about their work. Many of the artists will have artwork for sale.

  • Arts Night 2008, Friday, May 2, 5:30 p.m. social, 7 p.m. dinner, 8 p.m. auction. SOLD OUT! Join us for an elegant dinner followed by the art auction--all taking place on the stage of the Washington Pavilion's Great Hall. Tickets are $100 per person (tax included). New this year is a special concierge menu. The concierge menu was created to enhance your Arts Night experience. Choose from our sponsored packages or let us design one for you.

The annual Arts Night auction is the second-largest annual fundraising event for the Visual Arts Center. Proceeds from the event are used entirely to support the center's galleries and exhibitions, with special emphasis on the museum’s "Here and Now" gallery. View the artists and their statements and their artwork by clicking on the links to the left. You may submit proxy bids online.
